Fabrication shops on the web

I saw a Popular science article where a guy had a part make from a web company.

These are the companies he referenced.
emachineshop.com
ponoko.com
shapeways.com

Has anyone had a custom part made by a company like this?

tommays will become famous soon enough
I get stuff made all the time and success depends on the quality of the drawing and how well they understand what you want

For example it is hard to go wrong with flat stuff BUT once you start bending it gets a bit harder

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat
