2002 Beneteau 50 Wiring Diagram

I purchased a 2002 Beneteau 50 over 12 months ago and while having a new chart plotter installed before the delivery voyage I was asked the question by the local Raymarine technician if I had any teenage daughters. The technician saw my confused look and explained that the only rational explanation for the state of my wiring was that I had allowed a teenage girl to do the wiring. I have spent a lot of time since the purchase rectifying the previous owners electrical sins and am reasonably sure I have sorted most of these out. A lot of repairs, new connections, new wiring in some cases and now feel a lot more confident when I switch on a saloon light on that my bilge pump does not kick in as well.
At the start of my foray into the electrical repairs I had sought information from the Beneteau dealers here in Australia regarding information on my wiring system on my boat. I thought that being a production boat with many boats being produced that there must be a wiring schematic somewhere. Despite my exhaustive search, I have been able to only find basic information on wiring group numbers allocated to certain circuits, somewhat helpful, but still not what I am after.
Can anyone assist with my search or has already tracked this information down, it will save me a lot of heartache when doing further repairs.

This link was found on a previous Sailnet thread for a similar inquiry.. may not be enough detail in here but there's some electrical info. Even if it's not the identical model there may be similarities enough.

btw.. thank SNer Bene505 if it works... or even if it doesn't!

Yes, that was me. There isn't a detailed wiring diagram in there, unfortunately.

On our Beneteau 50, all the wires have number labels at each end. That helps a little.

Brad

Re: 2002 Beneteau 50 Wiring Diagram

Thanks Bene 505 & Faster, I had managed to track down that information sometime back. Seems the builders want this level of detail to remain their domain. The long way around my problem is to slowy peice together my own schematic from the work that I have already completed and the additions I have made. Was hoping to avoid doing that, but it might be better this way.
I will see if any other Sailnet members can come up with anything new. Once again, thank you for your replies.

P.S If a member requires the information that Beneteau gave regarding the wiring group numbers, let me know and I will email the PDF.

The owners manual diagram is all I have for my 393 too.

Are you anywhere near a Sunsail or Moorings charter base? Their workshop must have them. Would be interesting to have a chat and see if you could get a copy.

Try a Beneteau broker in your area. They should have access to all of the technical diagrams.

Tried both state Beneteau dealers, both gave the same answer, "sorry we can't supply". I am going to call the Sunsail charter company on Hamilton Island in the Whitsunday group and see if they have this info.
