First 375 help needed!

Hi all, I'm looking at a First 375 and strangely it seems to only have two flexible water tanks under the salon seating. I'm assuming that this is not standard and that originally there would have been built-in or at least solid tanks - but where would they have been?

I also need a replacement stainless pulpit, does anyone out there know where I could obtain one or could recommend somewhere that could make one to order that's made one before, i.e. wouldn't need to measure up on the boat? I'm in Grenada but would import from the US or wherever - Beneteau don't have one, I've already checked, they're also very expensive from Beneteau.

Thanks!

Flex tanks are not uncommon on the First and have much to reccomend them. We've carried 105 gallons of water between two flex tanks in a similar arrangement since 1986 without difficulty. ANy good stainless shop can make the repairs you think you need.

FWIW...

Well that's good to hear, the current flexible tanks are plainly not original, they're too new, but the evidence suggests that there never were any solid tanks fitted so maybe they were always flexible...

I also have flexible water tanks under the salon seats on my First 42. They are new-looking, though, so I don't know if it ever had rigid tanks.

So far the only problem I have had with them is that when they're full starboard one separates the A/C ducting. I haven't bothered to fix this since I never use the A/C...

Interesting. Are they the only water tanks, or are they additional to fixed / rigid tanks?

Anyone know the shaft diameter on a First 375?

Mine only has the flex tanks. I assume you meant the prop shaft, but I don't know the answer.
