Beneteau Cyclades 50 manuals and diagrams

We recently purchased a Beneteau Cyclades 50 / Moorings 51.5 as it left the Moorings fleet.

A copy of the owners manual and good wiring and plumbing diagrams would be helpful as we familiarize ourselves with the boat and as we make improvements.

At one point, I believe this was available on the Beneteau website, but now, even after registering as an owner, it is not. It does offer me the opportunity to join the Beneteau YACHT club, for a fee, and there may be more information there.

However, since Beneteau's site fails to even list the Cyclades models as current or past products, I wonder if I would find anything on the yacht Club site either.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Re: Beneteau Cyclades 50 manuals and diagrams

Thanks for the suggestion of calling the manufacturer. I'll give that a try.

The Beneteau 50 manual you found is certainly similar to one of the manuals I am looking for. In fact, I remember seeing that one on the Beneteau website when they kept that sort of information available. Unfortunately, that is a different boat than the Cyclades 50.

The other sites you have found list basic specs of the boat for charter guests, and are the main thing I turn up as well when I do internet searches.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and I will contact the manufacturer to see what they have to say.

Can you take a look at this thread? Near the bottom is a link to a manual. Not sure it's yours.

Re: Beneteau Cyclades 50 manuals and diagrams

Brad,

Thanks for the link. That is again a manual for the model before the Cyclades, though there are a lot of similarities.

As others have expressed, dealing the Beneteau's website and attempting to contact them via email seems so intentionally difficult that I imagined that calling them would be equally tiresome and unproductive. Clearly from what you are saying that was a poor assumption.

I am glad to hear that they are so easy to deal with.

I tried to call Friday, but they were apparently closed for Good Friday, so I will try again on Monday. I will report back what I find.

In general, I am finding almost no information online where other people have purchased these boats from the charter fleet and made modifications to make them more cruising friendly. Anyone out there that owns on, feel free to contact me, I would love to compare notes.

Re: Beneteau Cyclades 50 manuals and diagrams

I was able to contact Beneteau and they were able to send me the Owner's Manual for the boat very quickly as a PDF. There is a lot of good basic information there.

However, they tell me that this is the only document produced for this boat, so evidently wiring diagrams, plumbing schematics, service manuals, etc are not available.

Oh well, off to climb the mast to see what type of light bulb the anchor light uses.

Re: Beneteau Cyclades 50 manuals and diagrams

I would expect that Beneteau followed some fairly standard procedures as far as wiring between models, esp colour coding and pre wired harnesses may have been used across models. Any wiring diagram of similar sized and vintage boats might be helpful to some degree.
