Transatlantic Cruising Sailboat Advice

I am planning to buy a cruising sailboat for a transatlantic voyage, while I have a limited budget I am comfortable with smaller sailboats. If my choices are the following sailboats, which would be the best option? (Consider whether any of these sailboats would be capable of circumnavigating at a later point in time.)

Pearson Vanguard 32' 1968
Catalina 30' 1978
Cal 9.2 30' 1982

Can you give more advice, reasons?
How do Tartans, Columbias, Bristols and Hunter Cherubini fair?
I'm still looking at boats 33' or smaller.

Suggest you look at the STICKY thread at the top of this forum for bluewater boat lists for models in your size range...then go to yachtworld.com to see what is available in your price range and for individual boat design and specs.

I'd also recommend looking at James Baldwin's Boat List. He's got a list of a fair number of pocket bluewater cruisers that across a wide range of prices, most under 40' LOA.

I am assuming that given your choice of boats your boat buying budget is around 20K american, and that you are based in the USA ??
I apologise if this is a long post, and my intent is not to lecture, but hopefully to provide advice
. THe Pearson Vanguard is probably the best of those you chose, but at tha price scale there are a number of boats that are bluewater capable, and that are available in the USA

The big issue here is not one of original boat cost, (many boats can cross oceans given the right gear)but what it costs to have the kit suitable for long ocean passages. Even staying quite simple

My advice would be to expand your horizons vis a vis the brand of boat.
