cruising catamaran wanted - 100.000 euro max.

hello everybody,
we are looking for a cruising cat around 40 ft, ideally from a retiring liveaboard owner couple. the more equipped for independence the better.
ok to be a few years old, but no major repairs please.

we have been looking at some prout snowgoose, which are available in our price range, but still want to look around a bit more.

we are very flexible about the location, so any offers will be appreciated. you can contact us directly by mail: orleyflo@gmx.at ( orleyflo@gmx.at ).

looking forward to receiving tipps or offers from anywhere (-:
flo & nina

That budget is a bit low for a 40' catamaran. You'd probably be much better off looking at 35-37' catamarans, given your budget. Where would you be sailing this boat and what kind of sailing/passages would you be making on her.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Another choice would to look at older trimirans. You might find a one off for less money. but finding a production with your budget is going to be being in the right place at the right time with cash in hand. Not impossible, but most likely improbable........i2f

100,000 = 142,000 US$ . Yacht World has 3 pages of cats from 100,000 to 150,000 US 30-50 feet.

Yes, but what shape are the 40'+ boats in...not very good shape for most of them. Catamarans are not inexpensive boats to purchase or commission.
