I am looking for any upgrade info that folks have done to their Mercators
This one is clean, but is pretty original from 1976

No answers in 4 days - I guess there aren't many out there. Most upgrades won't be design specific. Certainly there are the comfort mods you would want to do below, sailing gear upgrades such as leading lines aft, etc. I'd join an owners group for a similar style of boat - you don't have to own to join. They usually have upgrade files that might apply to your boat. Recommend Cape Dory, Bristol, Alberg 30 owners groups as a place to start. Hope this helps. On Yachtsnet you can look at either brokerage which is current or the archives as they keep the info on their site for all the boats they sell over the years.

We have done a bunch of stuff to our 1977 Mark II bowsprit model, here in Olympia. I know of one other Mercator in the san juans who I correspond with.

We love our Mercator. I am currently re-barrier coating the hull and replacing all the original throughhulls. Lots of stuff done..
