45' Hardin Ketch

We think we have found 4-5 of these within reasonable distance of our area. They are all within a reasonable price range.

Here's two examples of the five...

1981 Hardin Ketch Sail Boat For Sale - www.yachtworld.com

1983 Hardin 45XL sailboat for sale in Washington

We are looking for a comfortable, roomy, liveaboard that is a capable cruiser.

On these boats, we like the:

The room
The styling (colors and cushions can change)
The layout
The sturdiness
The look of the boat.

Comments? Suggestions?

The purchase price of a boat is just the admittance fee to the dance...you still have to spend money on the girl...so court one with something going for her with pleasing and desirable character traits others desire as well... or you could find yourself in a disillusioned relationship contemplating an expensive divorce.

I have a friend with a Hardin 45. He loves his boat and I think well of it too. Just as a concern to look at, and not an unsurmountable problem, take your best look at corrosion bleeding from those emb edded chain plates and how you will approach a replacemnt. I don't know if all the Hardins have the same difficulty in getting access to the chain plates. Take care and joy, Aythya crew
