Peterson 25

I am looking at a Peterson 25 (1/4 tonner). The price about a giveaway, but it does need TLC-- Cleaning, Bottom paint, etc, etc. I am thinking of racing it in the local PHRF fleet. Has anyone out there had experience with this boat?

There are different versions and designs of 25 foot 1/4 tons by him. The Aussie 1978 model daggerboard looks like a fast one. The 74 model doesn't. There is another 76 model that that took 4th at the worlds and still a couple more built later. Depends what model and builder you are looking at to determine what you are getting.

Thanks RXBOT. The Peterson I am looking at is a fin keel about 4.5' deep, inboard rudder, and a kinda flush deck. I am not sure of the year.

Sorry, I was mistaken about that. The boat I was thinking of was a Tanton.
