Any suggestions?

Am looking at 2 boats for sale: '84 Cal Tall Rig 31 and an '84 Newport 28s for sale. Possible winter liveaboard on the Hudson...any pros/cons you'd like to share? Any experts in the North NJ/NY area to contribute/help as this is my first boat purchase???

you need to visit both boats and try to envision how they will work for you. Storage for a liveaboard is usually at a premium. Googling pictures of both, looks like the Newport has a quarter berth that can be used as a garage, the Cal does not. I think at this point in there lives, care or abuse by previous owners plays a bigger part than original build quality. Only visiting the boats can answer that.
