Hello. I am looking at a Heritage West Indies 46. There is disturbingly little information on these boats out there on the interwebs. Can anyone share positive or negative experience with such boats?

I have heard rumors of tendency for Jill blistering. If this is an issue, what would be the scope of repair?

Any other construction or inherent issues I should be aware of that are unfixable or prohibitively expensive?

I'm looking at a boat that all the systems will be replaced on as a reasonable cost effective way to get a big enough boat for my family. Am I way off track with this option?

I am looking to update it and sail offshore with my young family.

Any thoughts folks could share would be great.

I'm also curious if there is a Good option for getting the boat to the great lakes? Is there a cheap way to truck it? Or am I better off taking the time to motor sail it around?
