Help finding Brokers and Surveyors

I sold my previous boat (a Catalina 22) 18 months ago and am looking for my next boat. I'm presently in a campground near Norfolk, VA and would like to know of any good, helpful brokers and surveyors in this area, and perhaps as far north as Annapolis, MD.

I'm hoping to find a cruiser in the 30 - 34 foot range that will be singlehanded for up to 8 months at a time on the Chesapeake and the coast, and ultimately to Bermuda and/or the Caribbean in one direction, and the Great Lakes in the other.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would add that I would look as far south as Oriental, NC as well. FWIW I'll be looking for a used boat, 30 - 34 ft, < $40K.

Once you find a boat you can find a surveyor near it. Most are not going to travel far. Start on Yachtworld, sailboatlistings.com, craigslist. Remember, the broker represents the seller unless you higher a buyer's broker!

Thanks, j. So I guess I need to zero in on some boats that I see in the listings, and then contact the broker who is listing them. When I narrow the field to 'the one,' I contact a surveyor nearby and go from there. When I'm at that point, I'll ask the members here for recommendations. Thanks again.
