Headroom: Endeavour vs Irwin. 43-46' Center Cockpits.
I'm 6'4" barefoot and looking to liveaboard full time in the North East USA.
I'm focusing on Center Cockpits as I like the large aft stateroom, specifically those centerline queen beds and large saloon as I'll be not only living, but working from the boat.
Knowing I will be having to heat this boat in frigid temps (-4* right now), I want to keep it as small as possible. This seems to be around a 43' to 45' boat.
My search has brought me to two boats I have yet to board (one was sold right before I got there). They are the Irwin and the Endeavour.
So I'm looking to hear from current or past owners of these boats. Yeah I know they are not the "best" but they are what I can afford. My time will be spent learning to sail and navigate the coast and the inter-coastal before I ever venture to blue water so I am not that concerned over a boat capable of a circumnavigation as I am with a boat that I will be comfortable on 24/7.
If you have other boats you think I should consider that have 1) high headroom, aft stateroom, large saloon...please feel free to interject.
