Hi Everybody,

I''m looking for a boat for longer offshore trips(singlehanded).

At this moment I''m offered a Trintella III and a IIIa. Both ships have bottleneck-shaped hulls.

I would like to know your opinion on the sea-worthiness of these vessels in particular, and known issues in general. Does anybody had experience with these type of ships?

I assume that you are looking at a Trintella 35 III and IIIA which came in both an aft cockpit and an aft cockpit version. Neither are ships; both are boats. I am also not sure what you mean by a bottleneck-shaped hull.

Generally Trintella has a reputation for very high build quality and level of finish. The early boats were not known as being great sailers for their day.
