Advice needed
Dockage varies pretty widely depending on where you keep the boat. A 25 foot slip in this area (Annapolis, Maryland) would be somewhere around $2000 to $3000 per year (although I have only paid for a slip for one year in the 20 plus years that I have lived in Annapolis.) Insurance varies with the value of the boat, your experience as a skipper, and where you keep the boat. Here on the Chesapeake I would guess that BoatUS would be somewhere around $300-400 per year. These are both fairly new boats. Maintenance varies with where you live, how fussy that you are about maintenance and how much you are able to do for yourself. While older boats often need a lot of renovations, new boats often need a lot of fitting out. I would expect that you will need a maintenance budget of roughly $1200-1800 per year. If you are in an area where the boat needs to be hauled for the winter your dockage might be less but you will need to pay for hauling and for winter storage which is a pretty large number.
