Beneteau Oceanis 31 Lifting Keel version

Has anyone had experience sailing a Beneteau Oceanis 31 with lifting keel? Just wondering what are the downsize of a lifting keel system. Less reliability? Heavier boat because of the ballast? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
