I used Captain Frank Lanier, out of Chesapeake VA to help with the purchase of an older sailboat earlier this year. Depending upon what part of NC you need for him to visit, I would recommend Frank. I cannot say enough positive things about his work. Very thorough, saved me enough money from purchase price to more than cover his fee. He spent around 7.5-8 hours going through a 30'' sailboat. Final product was an excellent to-do list.
