Hot boat models

While reading Crusing Outpost if found an article about a couple who bought and fitted out a Tayana 37.
One thing they mentioned was that the boats seem to sell fast.

It occurred to me that their are probably several "cult" boats that are so well known as cruising boats for a couple that whenever they come up for sale they sell quickly.

So this thread is not about best boat so go cruising with but a list of boat that are popular to go cruising with like the Tayana 37 in the 50k to 150k range, 37' to 42'.

I'm pretty sure some of the Valiant's maybe the 40's are in the same situation.

How about smaller boats as well, like the Flicka and the Bristol Channel Cutter.

David,

I gave you the keys to the city many months ago. Did you lose them?

Phewww. I was expecting a "not safe for work" thread about with bikini clad babes draped over powerboats when I read the title "Hot Boat Models".

Seems like the PSC 37 (Crealock) and Baba 35 might apply.

Yes now we are talking.
What else do you have.

I'm talking about boats that have a fan base following and would not stay on the market more than a few weeks. They would probably be sold at the dock or at least on the dedicated owners website.
I like a lot of us look at Yacht World. I'm looking for boats that are so popular they would seldom be listed on Yacht World.

Such boats would normally be listed for more money, and thus might still sit on Yachtworld for a while. For instance the Valiant 40 is an example of a boat that should be on your list (and was already mentioned). They don't disappear from YW immediately, they just sell for a lot more than most ~30 year old 40' sailboats.

Re: Hot boat models

Even though a lot of cruisers would think them too slow, the Westsail 32 is a bit of a cult boat.
