Miami boat dealers
Hi,
Well it is time to actually start to look at boats and I will be in the Miami area from Feb 10th to the 19th.
I will pick up a copy of ''Boat Trader'' which I assume is mostly private sales; but I would also be interested in just walking around the docks to see the options and maybe talk with a few brokers.
I want a 33-35 foot coastal cruiser with the capability of making it to the Caribbean. This will be a live aboard for my wife and I so it should be comfortable & have moderate storage. The budget is 50K with about 20K for refit / upgrades etc. Or 70K if I find one with everything I want and in good shape (my hopes of this is not high, I assume we all want to add / change something in our new home)
What recomendations do you have on places to go look at boats, talk with dealers, that fit this category. Also I would like to visit a Marina and talk to a few people that live on their boats to get an first hand idea of the life style. Are most people open to discussing their life style with strangers?
If you could provide and address or a URL that would be great, even with a name of a marina alone I can figure it out.
Thanks for the help.
Steve
