I''d suggest you compare the cost/mechanics of this arrangement versus chartering - I think the joy and pride coming from owning a boat won''t exist when you own a small piece of it. (I am a co-owner of my current boat, which has worked out fine, it''s great to share the work and the expense yet we both fully enjoy a sense of ownership). A boat you really enjoy becomes too personal to share with a crowd...
