Seaward Boats

I would like to get other opinions on the seaward line of sailboats,Costal cruising only. chesapeake bay area I have about ten years sailing experience,Will they hold up and are they built as well as the big three. the retracting centerboard intrigues me, very shoaly in the bay and lots of places you could get to with retracring keel.

I owned a Seaward 22 (same basic boat as the 23) and sailed it on the Chesapeske. Well built boat and very easy to sail. Unless pointing high into the wind I kept the centerboard up. Com-pac Yachts makes a similar 23 that is well built.

Buying a Seaward Sailboat

I have reviewed the 32 ft. Seaward Eagle. The company Hake Yachts, does offer quite a bit of literature for $5 on any particular model you may be interested in. I had also ordered a in house video of the Eagle which goes into more detail of the boat building process. Not a bad boat for the price and the retracting keel definitely comes in handy.
