Hi there, i would like to buy a boat in Florida but im not a us citizen ( im French) i would like to sail to Mexico and then to Cuba and leave the boat there. ( My dad live in Cuba and will keep the boat) any advice for the papers needed in us , and if it is all legal?

No clue. But, a good boat broker ought to be able to help you get that information.

You can buy anything here if you have the money . As for leaving it in Cuba,
I would ask a Cuban.

Where you will likely have issues will be France. From my understanding it is not easy to import boats to Europe. You will need to register it someplace out of the US or you will have real trouble in Cuba.

You will need valid boat papers. Where do you plan to register the boat? The US CG will not issue registrations to foreign nationals.

The USVI might be a solution.
