Newport Capital Sloop, 1982

I am considering buying a 1982 Newport Capital Sloop. It seems well maintained and clean. The over-all look seems good. Does anyone have any comments on weak areas or things to check or just is this boat a good buy if in good shape? thanks.

I just looked at a 30''Newport for sale in Bellingham Wa. The owner was asking $26,900 the boat has all the things I would like to have onboard. Seemed to be a nice enough boat. There were a few listings on boatcheck
