Hmmm, Their Rhodes 19 are all still active and well liked...I guess I''d go so far as to say O''Day made some better boats and they made some not so good boats.

I''m biased (I''ve owned a Daysailer II, an 1973 O''Day 22 and now an 1982 O''Day 28)

so my thoughts are a bit skewed. I think for the cost of the boat they are a great deal. They were made relatively robust and quite weatherly. I wouldn''t cross the pond on my 28 but a cruise to the bahamas is no biggie. She''s not a race boat (although she can sail her number(phrf) with good sailors and sails. The bigger boats (27 and up) are roomy coastal cruisers. Although they are no longer in business, parts are very easy to find and there is a VERY LARGE owner''s group ( drop us a line there)
