1984 38'''' Mariner Pilot House
I was at the Annapolis Sailboat Show a couple of years ago and ended up sitting for a while next to Chuck Paine who was there for the premiere of his new design, the Cabo Rico 45. He asked me what boats were on my short list for my next boat and I told him I liked Mariners (among others). He agreed that these are well-made boats but cautioned me about the Mariner 39 Pilot House....he said he was there when they were building the first one and that they just pried apart a Mariner 39 hull to make the pilot house deck fit on it.
