Would anyone know how to figure the % depreciation per year on a 2005 Catalina 36?

It probably isn't linear. The biggest hit would be in the first year of ownership, and then it would drop a bit less each year, until it levels out around six or eight years old. Then, depending on condition and quality of the gear aboard, it may start to increase a bit in value.

Check the price of a new 2006 Catalina 36 and gage the price of your boat from that. You might be able to sell yours for close to what you paid for it.
