Fast boat w island queen berth?

Time to dream- sloop under 45 feet for costal cruising w centerline queen berth and step- thru or sugar scoop transom. PHRF under 129. So far I have identified Catalina 40 and C&c 37+. Center cockpits a possibility. What other boats qualify?

Hunter Legend 40. 1984-1990. PHRF SoCal is 102. I don't have one, but always liked them. They do sail to their rating here, and have a large centerline aft berth.

Don't know how it rates or does in races but a Hunter Passage has the best centerline queen that I have seen in a 42 ft boat.

Re: Fast boat w island queen berth?

Sounds like a great boat. PHRF in San Francisco is 102. Same as a Catalina 400!

HR 37 and 40 - not all are center queens. Look at smaller Moodys and Najads also.

sail fast and eat well, dave
