Bavaria yachts

Has anyone had any experience with Bavarias-- especially in the 40-50ft range? Seems alot of boat for the money. Are they just German Catalinas?

Bavaria yachts

My take is that they are close to being a German version of a Catalina, Hunter or Beneteau. I really was nit impressed with the few that I have seen up close. They are using a series of computer assisted manufacturing techniques that would seem to save construction costs but which would make it very difficult to maintain and repair these boats.

If I were going to buy a German boat, I am much more impressed with the quality of build on the Dehlers.

Regards
Jeff
