Sailboat Share in Southern France

I''m thinking of buying a 28-32 foot offshore capable sailboat (Cape Dory or similar) in Southern France or elsewhere in the Med. Looking for partners. I''d like to cruise the Mediterranean one summer soon. Any hints, ideas? I''ll be in Nice in September.

You may want to try your french and post an inquiry at http://www.sail-the-world.com/forum/docs . You will not find any Cape Dorys, but lots of Beneteaux, Jeanneaux, Dehlers, and others. The French government strictly regulates how far offshore different boats can go, based on design, contstruction, equipment, crew (owner/skipper licensing), and condition. The minimum standards they have for each "Categorie" will help give you an idea of what these unfamiliar (to you) boats are capable of.
