Boat suggestions for island hopping in the Bahamas and FL Keys?

We are planning to do some Bahamas/Florida Keys island hopping

What make/model sailboat would you suggest that has a smaller draft but it comfortable for a couple + Labrador?

We had a Beneteau 39 but it had a 5'1" draft and limited how close we could get to the islands (so limits the anchorages and we had to use the dinghy a lot to get to shallower snorkeling spots).

Paul and Sheryl Shard have done well in the Bahamas with their Southerly 42 and 49:

Catalina 34

Don't sweat it too much. Find something that suits you and fits your budget. Super shallow draft is nice but plenty of people do just fine with 5'. The important part is to go.

Come not here if you have already spent the best of yourself
