What about Wauquiez?

I''ve been doing a bit more searching for that "perfect" boat (knowing that such a thing doesn''t exist). Along my search I''ve come across a 35'' Wauquiez that almost sounds too-good-to-be-true.

What are the short-comings of such a boat for a couple that will mostly sail in the Chesapeake on weekends, but on occasion will make a bluewater trip of up to a week or so?

I own a Wauquiez Pretorien 35 built in 1982 and the boat is great performer in all winds. She has a long waterline and lots of sail area. WHy do you think it is such a great boat? The only shortcoming of the boat is that it does not have a separate stall shower. It also has limited fuel capacity- 25 gal tank. SHe is very stiff and a great sailor.
