Looking for 2nd boat.
I currently own a older (1974) Catalina22. Before this I have had various dinghys and sailed a lot in college. I am looking to move up to something in the 27 to 30 foot range that is preferably an inboard and good for weekending. I have some charter experience on 35ft size boats on the Chesapeake.I am currently looking at Catalina 27''s or Catalina 30''s on the very cheap end of C30''s. My price limit on the boat is about $15,000. I now live near Lake St Clair and will be keeping the boat there. Currently I am looking at a few 80s C27''s and a couple of 70s C30''s. My concerns with the C30 are depth. The boat will primarily be used on Lake St Clair with the occasional trips to Lake Huron or Erie by and my wife. Possibly some club level racing as well. What other boats would people recommend?
