New Boat Discount

Would appreciate hearing what people paid for their new boat vs. what the retail price was. In other words what kind of discount did you get?

Thanks

New Boat Discount

Depending on the model, many new boats costing $150,000 to $200,000 can be had for about $5,000 off list.

Models costing $200,000 to $260,000 can generally behad for about $5,000 to $7,500 off list.

This isn''t a guarantee, since it depends on make, model, availability, supply and demand and manufacturer promotions and the dealer involved.

New Boat Discount

I have the opportunity to purchase a ''75 H16 for $500-700. The main mast has some 15 or so small holes and is certainly not new. The Jib (the one on the front?) has 5 or so. All Quater size or smaller.

The right hull seems to have some "dead" styrofoam in that when you press or step on it, the sound of crunching styrofoam can be heard. The area where the tramp connects to the hull is solid (does not give). Everything else seems cosmetic.

Do I need to be concerned or should I keep looking.

Thanks afore hand,

Scott
