I am considering buying an Irwin 37 center cockpit. Does anyone have an opinion on hull quality/integrity?

Does anyone have pro''s and con''s on an oldie 1972 Ericson 39'' Do they have any bad things to look for? Are they a good liveaboard? Are there any clubs or discussion groups around?
