Island Packet 35 Centerboard
My wife and I are looking to purchase a used
(1990''s) IP 35 centerboard sailboat. The area we will sail in is Barnegat Bay, NJ
(hence the shallow draft requirement) and adjacent coastal waters. Our previous sailboat was a Cape Dory. We recently test
sailed a 1989 IP 35 centerboard brokerage sailboat in light wind (7 - 9 kts) and contrary to many opinions found it to be able to get out of its own way and in fact overtake a Catalina 30 tall rig. If anyone knows of one in excellent shape please contact me as there were not many made.
