Macgregor 25 or chrysler 26

I am new to sailing, and looking for my first boat. I have found two that I have to choose between. A ''79 Macgregor 25 and a ''79 chrysler 26. Anyone have any experience with either of these boats? any info would be appreciated.
thanks

My vote would be for the Chrysler 26. The Chrysler will be older, but a better sailing vessel. Condition is the key, but I''d avoid a Macgregor regardless of the condition.

Do not know about Macgreggor but have owned a Chrysler 26 for 4 years now (first sailboat) and have really enjoyed it. I think a great first boat!

I belive that the mac 25 is a fine boat, the old swing keel is a great idea for 1st timers or a inexpensive boat. easy to beach or trailer. lots of cheap fun, and low maitenance. if kept nice it will last for years.
