WESTSAIL 32 VS. TAYANA 37

I am planning on retiring in about 6 months and crusing to the South Pacific and beyond. There will be only my wife and myself so easy handling and comfort and safety for two is essential. I would appreciate any pros and cons on the two boats listed.
Thanks,
Maurice

maurice, how much you got! These boats are in totally different price ranges, with out getting technical the Tayana was made well into the late 90s, the W32 late 70s.You can have five more feet with the Tayana at about the same displacement as the W32. Both would be good choices, but if money was no object I would always take the bigger boat.
Happy new year!

If those were your only two choices and all other things were equal, I would go with the Tayana hands down. That said, there are a lot of posible issues to watch for with the Tayana 37 such as deck problems and steel tacks that have outlived thier usefulness.
