Donated Boats
For folks in the Northeast looking for a new boat for the Spring, the University of Rhode Island seems to have gotten a few good models donated that you might want to take a look at http://www.urifoundation.org/uriboat...boat_type=sail including a C&C 24, CD 25, two Oday 27s, Cartalina 30, Seawind ketch, and an interesting Morgan/Bristol 37. These are likely to all be distressed boats, or they wouldn't be here, but if someone can and wants to do their own work, you can get into these boats for short money - as usual you at best get what you pay for. For whatever its worth, these boats typically sell for half the asking prices or less, the prices marked as "blowout" are what the Foundation sees as the real asking price. One weekend in the Spring they have a "Sale" where all boats have posted "blowout" prices.
Good hunting.
