Wooden boats require constant maintanence, I had a 1932 custom built Yawl "mickey" in San Francisco sailed it, lived on it and worked on it more. I loved that boat. If you like working on boats do it but it's big 46' so I hope your wallet can take it. If you where going to live on it that would be cool... Love the creaking of wooden boats don't like the leaking but that's what bilges and pumps are for. Tis sounds like a major commitment good luck. Also remember when you go to sell it you may take a huge lost.
