Of course - I think we have stressed that here (both myself and Cam). However, the issues should be considered. It is not to say Catalina has not had irritated customers too... but these stories seem very extreme to me with little/no chance for resolution.

Not what I like to hear from a builder I have always considered to be a great builder... and SURELY not what I like to hear about a product I have always liked.

I am curious if anyone heard discussion of the problems with the 3700 at the Tartan display at the boat show?

mgahagan,

I would suggest you go to the Tartan Owners site http://www.tartanowners.org/ and check some of the post there as well. The T37 site wont be of much use to you, they discuss the pre 3700 Tartan's the T37 such as mine. Yahoo also has a Tartan group but I rarely go there...(I spend to much time on this place as it is )

Also, you quoted below a reply about the T37, not the 3700, so be sure your looking for the characteristics of the one you want, they are significantly different boats

Tartan Classics

The men that built these boats back in the 60's and 70's were dedicated to Charlie and Tartan Marine and took pride in every boat built there.Everyone was a craftsman in his area. Anyone who buys one is buying what was the best at the time.
