You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Congratulations.....My family's very first boat was a Contest. She was a pretty for good boat for her day. We went all over Long Island Sound on her. As much as we loved that boat, she was very poorly built by the standard of either today or back then and a real handful in a blow. Our Contest taught Dad a lot about fiberglass repair and taxed his electrical and mechanical abilities a bit. I am assuming this is a project boat for you (unless the prior owners have done a lot to her) so good luck.

Regards,
Jeff
