I would say that at least 99% of the boats we looked at, we found on Yachtworld. Whenever, I found something that might be interesting, I'd search the brokers inventory and make a list of all the boats we might want to look at while we were there. Then while we were there, we'd look around and ask if there where any others they thought we should look at that were similarly sized/priced. The boat we ended up buying was not one that was on our list, but was one of the ones we found while at the brokerage. Although we really liked the boat immediately, the asking price was above our comfort level, so we didn't seriously consider it.
However, even though we didn't exactly find the boat using Yachtworld, we were able to see on YW when the seller reduced his asking price. We remembered the boat because we really liked the layout, O'day had as good a reputation as the other boats in our price range and this boat was cleaner and had fewer obvious problems than just about any other boat we could afford. So in that sense, Yachworld played a signficant part in "finding" our boat.
