NC surveyors

I've made my offer for a 36ft sailboat in New Bern, NC. Can you recommend a surveyor who:
- is good
- inexpensive
and
- has time to do the job?
I know that to collect all three requests is next to impossible but ... please try.
Any suggestion is appreciated, thx guys

If you don't get a good lead here, call Dick Giddings who lives in New Bern and hosts the daily Cruzeheiemers net on SSB and the annual cruisers rally there and tell him I sent you. I'm sure he'll know a surveyor there who can help you.

I have a survey scheduled with Rob Eberly for tomorrow. So far he has been really easy to work with and came highly recomended from Chris Daniels (Owner of Oriental's School of Sailing.) I'll let you know how things turn out. He will be surveying a Pearson 27 for us.

Just got back into town from the coast... Survey went well! Rob did an excellent job... very thorough inspection inside and out. The only thing that we skipped was actually sailing the boat and that was because of the storm that was just passing through... winds were gusting to 40 Kts. We did motor through the fairway though and did a lot of testing on the engine. He was well equiped for the job and I would highly recommend him for your survey. As "TradeWindSailing" put it: "worth every penny!" Let me know if you want any further info.

Here is another: Jon Roop. I have not had a survey done by him, but have gone sailing with him. he is in the 100k miles club - very knowledgeable.
