The WB-8 is a great row boat but it splashes a lot of water over and around the bow when motoring into waves. The inflatable collar should take care of that. I actually rigged up a 'home made' version with fenders strung around but the bow wave when going against any type of waves still managed to spash in between.

Thanks, Stan. I think I'll start a thread (and encourage flaming) on the relative merits of WBs vs. RIBs or Portabotes.
