Considering moving up from a Dolphin to a 1977 S2 7.0. The boat appears to be in good shape. It comes with a trailer. Asking price is $4800. Would like to know "the good, the bad and the ugly". Any opinions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
A while back I had S2 7.9, which was the next boat up in the S2 line. They are well made boats, and go fast for their size. That's the upside. The downside is that the company has quit making sailboats and basically offers no support to sailboat owners. As a practical matter, that's neither unusual for a used boat nor a big deal.
