I went through a lot of things like that before finally being able to buy the boat that was meant for me. It is just that that is not the boat. When I was looking I even had a beautiful C&C 41 Redline surveyed and out of the water and it wasn't meant to be. I ended up with a much better boat for less money and in better shape.
Just hang in there ...do the right thing fix the house and wait for your dream to come true....it will, and it will be better.
