Law/Regulation governing recreational vessel registration

Currently, I'm doing the research on the Recreation Vessel registration issue for Legisation purpose and try to find out the minimum length or tonage requirement for registration of the recreation vessel in different countries.

With Google, only found the regulations from US and Canada which cover such issues:
DOCUMENTATION OF VESSELS, USCG

Small Vessel Act, Canada

Anybody can show me the links from the other country with the minimum requirement? Where can I find in UK? or Italy? etc.

Thank in advance.

If you are not already, please be aware that there is a difference between "registration" and "documentation" in the US.

In the US:
Boat registration is governed by each state separately. Therefore the requirements as to minimum length, etc. will vary state to state.
Documentation is federal and governed by the US Coast Guard.

USCGRET1990 & T34C, Thanks anyway.

There's the difference with Registration and Documentation in US, indeed. However, I need the links of the minimum requirement other than from US and Canada for my reference.
