Islander Bahama 30 Info

Found a nice Islander Bahama 30 and I really like the boat and best of all the price is right. Any information or comments on the Islander 30 would be appreciated. Boat will be for sailing the Georgia coast with occasional trip down the ICW to Florida and the islands. Thanks for any input or info you might have.

I do not own an Islander, a firend owns an I40.

This has plans etc on it if you look about enough. Their is a NW US roundesvous next weekend in Port Ludlow being put together by my friend, and a couple of weeks after, is one in the BC area IIRC.

I have never owned or sailed on one, but there was a recent brief review and comparison of the Islander 30 Bahama, the Tartan 30, the C&C 30, and the Newport 30 in "Good Old Boat" magazine (March/April 2007). I was looking at the Tartan, and found the side-by-side comparison interesting and useful. Good luck.
