Hylas 42

We are currently giving serious consideration to purchasing a Hylas 42. We have not yet had a chance to sail on this boat, but it sure looks like it should be a winner. We will use this boat for living aboard and cruising. Sailing performance is quite important to us. Anybody have any experience with this model.

The one we are looking at has the 6.2' keel, but I have seen another one on the market with a 7' keel. Any thoughts on how much noticeable performance we would be giving up?

Actually I am looking at the one in Puerto Vallarta. The one in SF has an in-mast furling main, which is a deal kiler for me. So do you have any experience with this model?

Greg

no, sorry, but the one in SF has been on the market for a long time, wondered what was wrong.
