I'll weigh in - as I'm also a fan of Pearsons....

I love the lines of the boat; big, nice floorplan with tons of room and storage. Draft of 5.25' is pretty good for a boat of this size. Great sailplan too. I really like the separate NAV station at the base of the companionway. Also the prices tend to be more reasonable (than say a 422) for what you get in the boat.

The only concern that I have is the V Drive unit. One more thing to service/break.

SailorMitch was thinking of Jack Tyler of Whoosh (which was his screen name here). Though he hasn't posted on here for quite awhile, he is, I believe, active on the SSCA board. I know he crossed the Atlantic in his 424.
